There is magic in your smile
"Sometimes your joy is the
source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your
joy." ~Thich Nhat Hanh. We do not know how smile can effect laughter in
our brains that is the reason why we feel happy. Smiling is a very important
part of everyday in our life and we do it without realizing how many wonderful
benefits we could receive by doing that. This can also help us not only on the
above also, to have better mental health and to strengthen and improve
relationships with others. Besides, the smile is the key to open the door of
happiness while we laugh we forget problems and concerns, in this way we remain
happy and healthier.
Although smiling is an involuntary action,
there are very few species that can do it; we are the species that can do it
naturally. Since ancient times have thought of our laugh but, we have smiling
without noticing how great and relaxing it can be. As it is so natural to us, seldom
we think about what this action really is. “Smiling stimulates our brain’s
reward mechanisms in a way that even chocolate, a well-regarded
pleasure-inducer, cannot match.” Widrich,
(2013). Chocolate releases natural substances in the brain that laughter
like us pleasure and pleasure is something we all seek. If we want to have pleasure,
we will have to take this little medicine of smiling which deletes every single
stressful thing or situation.
Most of us walk surrounded by
tensions, worries and things that overwhelm our mood and health. To solve the
above tend to look for doctors, medicines and therapies but the most effective
medicine is in our smile. We can all smile but not all know the wonderful
benefits that smiling brings to our lives. A good example of this is a
children’s playground: You often see the kids running around, constantly
laughing and smiling as they enjoy living in the moment, while the parents sit
around the edge, full of the stresses that modern life can bring, with the
occasional grin breaking their otherwise serious facial expressions. Adults can
benefit from taking a lead from children and making more space in life for
smiling and laughter. Some of these benefits also are “Laughter relaxes the
whole body, laughter boosts the immune system, laughter triggers the release of
endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals, and laughter protects the
heart.” According to Smith, M; M.A., and Segal,
J (2016) . We can get all these benefits only smiling.
Finally, happiness is contagious
like a smile. So our smile makes us feel better and see us. “It takes twelve
muscles to smile and 113 muscles to frown. When you smile at another person, a
warm, genuine smile, you tell that other person that he or she is attractive,
pleasant, likeable, safe and secure in your estimation Brian, T (2012). According to that we are going to receive that we give to
others. Smiles are so powerful that can improve our communication with
others and can help us more easily strike up a conversation; for instance: When
we are sharing time with our family, friends, couple, etc. Otherwise, with
smiling we can have many open doors such as: In our job and social reunions;
because, when we smile we do special connections with others.
Definitely smile is the sign of our
happiness and has the power to change our mood completely. In addition, smile
can give us the opportunities to stay more comfortable with others and a way of
icebreaker;
improve our family and friends ties. We
do not have to forget to smile because; this simple action can change all our
day and also our health. Now we already know how smile can help us, therefore
start smiling. Sometimes, we do not have reason to smile, after that we remember
that we are happy while smiling and we change the life of who see us. To sum
up, smile is the source of our happiness.
